About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Salesforce Security Monitoring Engineer for a 3-month contract engagement to assess, strengthen, and enhance our Salesforce security and monitoring capabilities.

The role will focus on reviewing the existing Salesforce security posture, identifying gaps, implementing improvements, and establishing effective monitoring and reporting using Salesforce Shield, Event Monitoring, and Security Center.

The ideal candidate should be hands-on, technically strong, and comfortable working independently on a defined engagement with transparent deliverables and knowledge transfer at the end of the contract.

Key Responsibilities

- Assess and review the existing Salesforce security model and identify security and access-control gaps
- Design and implement improvements to enterprise-grade Salesforce security models
- Review and optimise profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, field-level security and related access controls
- Lead evaluation and proof-of-concept activities for Salesforce Shield, Event Monitoring and Security Center
- Configure and enhance security monitoring dashboards and reporting
- Design and implement automation and monitoring workflows to reduce manual security operations
- Build or support integrations for collecting security signals from Salesforce and connected systems
- Develop data models and technical components required for security monitoring and observability
- Document the implemented architecture, configurations, processes, and recommendations
- Prepare operational runbooks and provide knowledge transfer to the internal team




- Provide recommendations for longer-term Salesforce security and monitoring improvements

Required Skills & Experience
- 6–8 years of Salesforce development/architecture experience, with strong hands-on experience in Salesforce security
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and reviewing Salesforce security models
- Strong understanding of Profiles, Permission Sets, Permission Set Groups, Sharing Rules, Role Hierarchy, and Field-Level Security
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Shield and Event Monitoring
- Experience with Salesforce Security Center is highly preferred
- Experience building dashboards and reporting for security, compliance, or operational monitoring
- Experience designing automation workflows and integrations for security/signal collection
- Strong data modelling skills for monitoring and observability use cases
- Ability to independently assess an existing environment and translate findings into actionable improvements
- Strong technical documentation skills, including architecture diagrams, implementation guides, and runbooks

Nice to Have

- Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer, Application Architect, or Salesforce Security Specialist
- Experience integrating Salesforce with SIEM/SOC platforms or broader security operations tooling
- Experience with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar
- Experience conducting Salesforce security assessments or remediation projects
- Previous experience working on short-term Salesforce security/architecture engagements
