About the Role
GrowthEd is looking for a well-connected Senior Sales Development Representative to develop school partnerships and drive institutional sales across key markets. This is a senior, relationship-driven, field-intensive role requiring continuous travel across the assigned territory.
The role requires an established professional with strong relationships in the K-12 education industry, particularly with school owners, trustees, principals, directors, and senior management. The candidate will be responsible for generating qualified school opportunities, scheduling meetings for product demonstration, managing post-demo follow-ups, negotiating commercials, and taking ownership of closures.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage, build and maintain strong relationships with school owners, trustees, principals, directors, and senior decision-makers, to identify and engage prospective schools.
- Generate qualified school opportunities and schedule product demonstration meetings.
- Lead follow-up discussions after Business Development Representative (BDR)-led product demonstrations, and coordinate with the BDR to ensure smooth handover of school requirements, priorities, and meeting context.
- Participate in key school meetings, presentations, and discussions, and understand school feedback, objections, decision-making processes,
and purchase timelines.
- Own price discussions, commercial negotiations, and contract finalisation with schools.
- Drive opportunities through the complete sales cycle, from initial engagement and meeting coordination to closure and onboarding handover.
- Maintain a strong and updated pipeline of prospective and active school opportunities, ensuring accurate documentation of meetings, discussions, proposals, negotiations, commitments, and next steps.
- Coordinate with the BDR, product, implementation, finance, and leadership teams to resolve school requirements and close opportunities.
- Share market intelligence, competitor insights, customer feedback, and emerging opportunities with the leadership team.
- Travel extensively and continuously across the assigned territory to build relationships and close school partnerships.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 15+ years of experience in sales, business development or partnerships with schools.
- Strong existing connections with school owners, trustees, principals, directors, and K-12 education groups.
- Proven experience in B2B, institutional, or EdTech sales, and comfort in managing long sales cycles that involve multiple stakeholders.
- Strong commercial understanding with the ability to discuss pricing and value confidently, and demonstrated success in managing negotiations and closing high-value deals.
- Strong understanding of the school education ecosystem and decision-making processes.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Strong local knowledge and professional network in at least one of the target markets, and comfort with continuous field travel across the assigned regions.
