Sales Billing Executive – Roles & Responsibilities

1. Sales Billing & Invoicing

Prepare and generate sales invoices accurately as per customer orders and agreed terms. Verify customer details, product description, quantity, price, GST, discounts and other applicable charges before billing.

Ensure timely generation of invoices against sales orders/delivery documents.

Process credit notes, debit notes and other billing-related documents as required.

1. Order & Document Coordination

Coordinate with the Sales, Dispatch, Stores and Accounts teams for smooth billing and order execution. Verify sales orders, delivery challans, purchase orders and supporting documents.

Ensure all required documents are available before raising the invoice.

1. GST & Statutory Compliance

Ensure correct application of GST, HSN/SAC codes, tax rates and other statutory requirements. Support preparation and maintenance of billing records required for GST and audit purposes.

Ensure e-invoice/e-way bill requirements are completed wherever applicable.

1. Customer & Sales Coordination

Address customer queries related to invoices, pricing, quantities and billing discrepancies. Coordinate with the sales team for corrections or changes in billing information.





Share invoices and required documents with customers on time.

1. MIS & Record Management

Maintain proper records of sales invoices, credit/debit notes and related documents. Prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales billing reports and MIS.

Track pending billing, cancelled invoices and billing discrepancies.

1. Reconciliation & Accuracy

Reconcile sales invoices with sales orders, dispatch records and accounting entries. Identify and resolve billing discrepancies promptly.

Maintain high accuracy in billing to minimize errors, rework and customer complaints.

Education

B.Com / M.Com / BBA or equivalent qualification.

Experience

1–3 years of experience in Sales Billing, Commercial, Order Processing, Accounts or similar role.

Experience in manufacturing / solar / engineering industry will be preferred.

Hands-on experience with SAP/ERP and MS Excel preferred.
