We are seeking a talented and analytically minded Specialist-Research & Market Intelligence to support our talent sourcing, recruitment strategy, and talent marketplace initiatives. This role focuses on market intelligence, competitive analysis, candidate behavior research, and talent ecosystem dynamics that inform our recruitment strategy, platform positioning, and talent marketplace expansion. You'll combine quantitative and qualitative research methodologies to deliver actionable insights that drive hiring effectiveness, candidate quality, and marketplace growth across geographies and verticals.

Primary Responsibilities

Talent Marketplace & Recruitment Technology Competitive Analysis

- Conduct competitive landscape analysis of talent sourcing platforms.
- Track and analyze pricing models, feature releases, and market positioning of competing talent marketplaces
- Research emerging talent marketplace players, funding rounds, M&A; activity, and market consolidation patterns
- Identify white spaces in the talent marketplace ecosystem (underserved geographies, verticals, candidate segments)

Recruitment Strategy & Talent Sourcing Research

- Research and document emerging trends in talent sourcing strategies across industries and geographies
- Study talent acquisition best practices, hiring funnel optimization, and recruitment process automation
- Monitor employer branding strategies, EVP (Employer Value Proposition) positioning, and talent attraction trends
- Research skills gap analysis, high-demand talent segments, and emerging skill requirements

Candidate Behavior & Demographic Research

- Analyze candidate preferences, job search behaviors, and platform engagement patterns
- Research demographic shifts in job seeking (age cohorts, geographic origins, education backgrounds)
- Research underrepresented talent pools and barriers to entry for diverse candidate segments
- Track candidate sentiment and satisfaction with recruitment experiences through surveys and social listening





Talent Marketplace Performance Analytics

- Analyze marketplace metrics: candidate registrations, profile completion rates, employer adoption, placement rates
- Research talent pool quality, matching effectiveness, and placement success rates by geography and industry
- Create dashboards and KPIs tracking marketplace health, growth, and user engagement
- Conduct funnel analysis: sourcing → engagement → application → hire → retention
- Benchmark our marketplace performance against competitors and industry standards
- Identify drop-off points and optimization opportunities in recruitment workflows

Data Collection & Analysis

- Design and deploy surveys to candidates, employers, university partners, and recruitment professionals
- Extract and analyze large datasets from talent marketplace platforms, ATS systems, and industry databases
- Create visualizations and infographics presenting talent market insights and recruitment trends
- Use tools like Excel, Python, SQL for data manipulation and statistical analysis

Research Deliverables & Strategic Insights

- Author talent marketplace research reports, market sizing studies, and competitive analyses
- Prepare executive summaries and board-ready presentations on talent acquisition trends
- Develop research briefs for product, marketing, and partnership teams
- Create quarterly/annual talent market reports by geography, industry vertical, and skill category
- Contribute to thought leadership: industry publications, webinars, conference presentations
- Provide recommendations for marketplace feature priorities and expansion opportunities

Ongoing Talent Market Monitoring

- Monitor talent marketplace industry publications, recruitment technology blogs, and HR research platforms
- Subscribe to talent acquisition intelligence services
- Build and maintain centralized talent market knowledge base with competitive intelligence
