Role Description The Researcher & Insights Analyst Anchor is a full-time, on-site role based in Gandhinagar. This position involves identifying story ideas, conducting background research, gathering data from primary and secondary sources, and analyzing trends relevant to Barket Media’s content. The role includes preparing concise research briefs, developing insights for editorial and production teams, and collaborating with anchors and producers to shape narratives and angles.

The Analyst will participate in editorial meetings, verify facts, support script development, and help design audience feedback mechanisms to measure impact. Day-to-day responsibilities also include maintaining research documentation, monitoring media and social channels, and contributing to the continuous refinement of story selection and framing.

Qualifications

- Strong research and analytical skills, including data gathering, fact-checking, and synthesizing complex information into clear insights.
- Experience in media, journalism, communications, or a related field, with an understanding of storytelling, audience engagement, and content development.
- Proficiency with basic data and research tools (e.g., spreadsheets, online databases, survey tools) and comfort working with qualitative and quantitative information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to creative and production teams.
- Ability to work on-site in Gandhinagar, collaborate effectively in a rapid-paced studio environment, and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree in journalism, media studies, communications, social sciences, or a similar field.
- Prior experience in insights, audience research, or editorial support in a media or content-focused organization is an advantage.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical research practices, diversity of perspectives, and storytelling that reflects real-world issues.
