Role Description We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and innovative scientist to join our Thornton R&D; team.

The Research

Scientist will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and technological advancement within the company. This position encompasses the development of recent technologies, enhancement of existing product specifications, and thorough investigation of customer pain points related to our products. By leveraging scientific expertise and analytical skills, the Research Scientist will provide effective solutions to improve product performance, address user challenges, and contribute to the company’s competitive edge in the market. This role involves taking direct ownership of projects while actively conducting experimental research and development. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, open-peer environment, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness.



We seek someone with a good understanding of multidisciplinary science and deep knowledge of analytical chemistry with the ability to apply their expertise creatively and insightfully to solve complex problems. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D; colleagues in global sites, product management and marketing teams to align on objectives and deliverables.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry with 1-2 years of post doctoral research or academic experience from a reputed institute; Industrial research experience of 4-5 years in relevant segments (Pharma| Biopharma| Microelectronics| Power).

▪Experience working across multidisciplinary sciences, preferably with core expertise in analytical chemistry and material science.

▪Experience with various types of sensors and analytical instruments in research, development, or quality control environments is preferred.

▪Exposure to Process Analytical Technology (PAT) instruments and/or Water Quality Monitoring Instruments is beneficial.

▪Ability to lead interactions and discussions strategically.

▪Excellent in communications with strong verbal and written skills, coupled with a profound intercultural awareness from collaborating in global, diverse teams remotely.

▪Demonstrate strong technical documentation skills by accurately recording experimental procedures, results, and analyses to ensure clear communication and reproducibility.

▪Able to work independently with strong self-motivation, while also being a collaborative team player who effectively partners with diverse teams across a matrix organization.

▪Staying up to date with the latest scientific advancements and industry trends to drive continuous innovation.

▪Ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards throughout the research process.

▪Travel as required (<10%).
