We are a U.S.-based company looking for a dependable, technically capable individual to join us as a Website & SEO Technical Assistant.

This is not an SEO agency position, and we are not specifically looking for an SEO expert. We are looking for someone with good general computer and technical skills who is interested in learning and developing long-term skills in website management, SEO monitoring, content management, WordPress, and plugin testing.

Candidates with COPA (Computer Operator and Programming Assistant) training through an ITI are strongly encouraged to apply.

We are also interested in candidates with education or training such as:

- COPA – Computer Operator and Programming Assistant
- BCA – Bachelor of Computer Applications
- B.Sc. Computer Science
- B.Sc. Information Technology
- Diploma in Computer Science / Information Technology
- Polytechnic computer or IT diploma

- Other recognized computer application or technical certifications

This is not a development position. Recent graduates and candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities: Your responsibilities will include a combination of website operations, SEO monitoring, reporting, content management, and technical testing.

SEO Monitoring & Reporting

- Monitor website keyword rankings and search visibility.
- Track changes in Google search rankings.
- Review Google Search Console data.
- Monitor indexing, impressions, clicks, and website performance.
- Identify significant ranking increases or decreases and address them.
- Prepare regular SEO performance reports.
- Maintain spreadsheets and tracking reports.
- Help identify pages that may require updates or additional optimization.
- Assist with basic keyword and competitor research.

You do not need to be an experienced SEO specialist. We will train the right candidate in our SEO processes and tools.

Content Management

- Add and update website content.
- Publish articles and pages in WordPress.




- Format text, headings, images, links, and page content.
- Add internal links between relevant website pages.
- Update existing website pages when information changes.
- Organize and manage article/content publishing schedules.
- Check pages after publication to make sure they display correctly.
- Optimize and upload website images.
- Make basic title, description, and content updates.

WordPress Website Management

- Create and configure WordPress websites using existing themes and systems.
- Create pages and posts, topical clusters
- Configure menus, widgets, and basic website settings.
- Install, activate, update, and configure WordPress plugins.
- Update WordPress themes and plugins.
- Perform basic website maintenance.
- Troubleshoot common WordPress issues.
- Test websites after updates.
- Make basic HTML/CSS changes when necessary.

You are not required to be a professional web designer.

Most websites will use established themes, layouts, and processes.

WordPress Plugin Testing An important part of this position will involve helping us test WordPress plugins and new website functionality.

Tasks may include

- Installing test versions of plugins.
- Following testing instructions.
- Testing different plugin settings.
- Confirming whether features work correctly.
- Identifying bugs or unexpected behavior.
- Taking screenshots of problems.
- Clearly documenting the steps that caused an issue.
- Testing plugin updates before they are used on production websites.
- Comparing expected results with actual results.
- Reporting technical problems clearly to our development team.

You do not need to be a PHP programmer to perform this work. What we are looking for: We care more about your ability to learn and solve problems than the number of years you have worked in SEO or design.

- Keyword ranking tools
- SEO reporting software
- Image editing or optimization
- AI tools such as ChatGPT
- Basic website troubleshooting

Who should apply: This position may be a particularly good prospect for someone who has completed COPA training through an ITI, a BCA, computer diploma, B.Sc. IT/Computer Science, or similar education and wants to build practical experience working with websites and internet technologies.

You do not need years of professional experience.
