Description
An ANZ Release Lead manages software release lifecycles, ensuring projects align with technology strategy, timelines, and quality standards, They lead cross-functional teams, overseeing, coordinating, and executing complex, high-visibility IT implementations using Agile and SDLC methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Release Management: Plan and manage the scheduling, deployment, and testing of software builds using Agile/SDLC,
- Project Oversight: Coordinate interdependencies across multiple streams of work to ensure on-time and in-budget delivery,
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Communicate and negotiate with stakeholders, technical personnel, and vendors for smooth deployment,
- Risk & Service Management: Handle incident management, service improvement plans (PIRs/RCAs), and ensure IT service availability,
- Governance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to ANZ technology strategy, compliance, and produce reports on release performance,
- Experience: Generally requires 8+ years of experience in IT service management, release management, or software engineering within complex, fast-paced environments.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools, and SDLC/ITIL frameworks,
- Leadership: Strong team leadership, mentoring, and motivation abilities.
- Domain Knowledge: Previous experience in the banking sector is frequently required.
