About the role
Relationship Officer - Merchant is responsible for acquiring and managing merchant relationships to drive adoption of POS, QR, and digital payment solutions. The role involves field sales, merchant onboarding, and ensuring business growth in the assigned territory.
What you will do:
- Identify and onboard new merchants for QR codes, soundbox and payment solutions.
- Generate leads through field visits, referrals, and local market networking.
- Explain product features, benefits, and pricing to merchants.
- Complete merchant KYC and onboarding documentation.
- Achieve monthly acquisition and revenue targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants.
- Resolve merchant queries and coordinate with support teams for issue resolution.
- Monitor competitor activities and provide market feedback.
- Ensure activation and regular usage of deployed payment solutions.
What you will need:
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a target-driven sales environment.
- Good relationship management and customer handling skills.
- Basic knowledge of digital payments, POS systems, and fintech products.
