We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Rehabilitation Psychologist to join our Child Development Centre. The role involves psychological assessment, intervention and rehabilitation for children and adolescents with developmental, behavioural, emotional, learning and neurodevelopmental concerns.

The psychologist will work closely with children, parents and the multidisciplinary clinical team to develop individualized intervention plans that support development, emotional well-being, functional independence, social participation and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

1. Psychological Assessment

- Conduct comprehensive psychological and developmental assessments.
- Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioural, adaptive and social functioning.
- Administer, score and interpret standardized psychological and developmental assessment tools.
- Prepare detailed assessment reports and communicate findings to parents and the clinical team.
- Identify areas of strength, need and functional difficulty to guide intervention planning.

2. Psychological Intervention & Rehabilitation

- Develop individualized psychological and rehabilitation goals based on the child's needs.
- Provide evidence-based psychological interventions for children and adolescents.
- Work on emotional regulation, anxiety, self-esteem, social skills, coping and behavioural concerns.
- Support children in developing functional and adaptive skills.
- Provide interventions that promote independence, participation and improved quality of life.

3. Parent & Family Intervention

- Conduct parent counselling and psychoeducation sessions.
- Help parents understand their child's developmental and psychological needs.
- Provide practical strategies for behaviour management, emotional regulation and home-based intervention.




- Support families in coping with the challenges associated with developmental and chronic conditions.
- Facilitate parent support and education programmes where required.

4. Multidisciplinary Collaboration

- Work closely with psychiatrists, developmental paediatricians, neurologists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, physiotherapists, special educators and other professionals.
- Participate in multidisciplinary assessments, case discussions and treatment planning.
- Contribute psychological inputs to individualized rehabilitation plans.
- Monitor progress and modify interventions based on clinical outcomes.

5. Behavioural & Functional Support

- Identify behavioural and emotional barriers affecting learning, development and participation.
- Develop behaviour-management strategies in collaboration with parents and therapists.
- Support children in improving social interaction, communication, adaptive functioning and emotional regulation.
- Provide guidance to schools and caregivers, where appropriate.

6. Documentation & Follow-up

- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records.
- Document assessment findings, intervention plans, progress and outcomes.
- Conduct regular follow-ups and track treatment goals.
- Make appropriate referrals when additional specialist intervention is required.

7. Training & Outreach

- Conduct parent, teacher and caregiver awareness programmes.
- Participate in workshops, community outreach and disability-awareness initiatives.
- Contribute to training of interns, therapists and other professionals, as applicable.




- Participate in clinical audits, research and quality-improvement initiatives.

Eligibility
- M.Phil in Rehabilitation Psychology from an RCI-recognized institution.
- Valid RCI registration as applicable to the skilled qualification.
- Candidates with relevant qualifications in Clinical Psychology and experience in rehabilitation/developmental settings may also be considered, subject to role requirements.

Experience
- 0–3 years: Junior/early-career role; relevant internship or clinical exposure preferred.
- 3+ years: Experience working with children with developmental or neurodevelopmental concerns preferred.
- Experience with autism, ADHD, intellectual disability, learning difficulties, cerebral palsy, developmental delays and behavioural/emotional concerns would be an advantage.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
