Senior Network Security Engineer — Palo Alto / Check Point
nLong-term contract | Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore or Chennai
nWe are recruiting on behalf of a global payments technology firm expanding its Enterprise Perimeter Security team.
nThis is a design and engineering role rather than an operations seat. You will own technical designs for project and programme level initiatives across next generation perimeter security infrastructure, working alongside architecture, engineering and wider information security teams. Expect to define engineering standards, forecast platform capacity ahead of demand, and mentor engineers around you.
nWhat the client is looking for

- n
- 8-10 years hands-on Palo Alto / Panoraman
- 8-10 years hands-on Checkpointn
- Deep grounding in firewalls, intrusion systems, networking, databases, HA/DR, virtual systems and PCI compliancen
- Public cloud experience, Azure or AWSn
- Minimum 2 years Python / Ansible scriptingn
- Configuration management tooling: Terraform, Chef, Puppet or Ansiblen
- DevOps tooling: GitLab and GitHubn




- Recent experience leading the technical design of enterprise network security systems or comparable perimeter security projectsn
- Experience supporting 24x7x365 high availability environments at Tier 3n
- Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience with 5+ years in a relevant rolen

- CISSP, CEH, or engineering and design level certification from Palo Alto or Checkpointn
- Background in e-commerce or a client transaction settingn

nHow the role works
nYou will run several technology projects at once, with the autonomy to prioritise, unblock and make calls without waiting for direction. The team is small and technically strong, so you will spend as much time explaining design decisions to senior stakeholders as you will building. Around 10% travel.
