Job Title: Quotation Executive

Department: Sales / Pre-Sales / Commercial

Reporting To: Sales Manager / Business Development Head

Job Summary The Quotation Executive is responsible for preparing accurate and timely quotations, cost estimates, and commercial proposals for customers. The role involves close coordination with sales, procurement, and operations teams to ensure competitive pricing, compliance with company policies, and timely submission of quotations.

Key Responsibilities

Quotation & Pricing

- Prepare detailed quotations, BOQs, and commercial proposals based on customer requirements
- Analyze RFQs, tenders, and customer inquiries for technical and commercial clarity
- Ensure accurate pricing considering material cost, margins, taxes, logistics, and delivery timelines
- Maintain standard pricing formats and approval workflows

Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with sales, procurement, engineering, and finance teams for pricing inputs




- Follow up with internal teams to ensure timely submission of quotations
- Clarify technical and commercial queries raised by customers or sales teams

Costing & Documentation
- Maintain cost sheets, margin analysis, and price break-ups
- Update quotation database and maintain records for future reference
- Ensure compliance with company commercial policies and approval limits

Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Valuable understanding of pricing, costing, and margin structures
- Proficiency in MS Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot tables)
- ERP/CRM exposure (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar)
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Positive communication and coordination skills

Experience
- 0-4 years of experience in quotation, pre-sales, or commercial roles
