Role Summary The Ranorex Test Automation Engineer will design, develop, execute, and maintain automated tests for web, desktop, and enterprise applications.



The role requires strong hands-on expertise in Ranorex Studio, C# or VB.NET, framework development, regression automation, and Agile quality engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

1. Participate across the testing lifecycle, including requirement analysis, test planning, automation design, execution, defect management, and reporting.

2. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Ranorex Studio and C# or VB.NET.

3. Design reusable, scalable, and maintainable automation frameworks.

4. Automate complex functional and end-to-end business workflows across web and desktop applications.

5. Create and maintain Ranorex repositories, RanoreXPath expressions, reusable modules, and test suites.

6. Implement data-driven testing, parameterization, validations, synchronization, and recovery mechanisms.

7. Execute in-sprint automation, regression testing, smoke testing, and release validation.

8. Maintain the regression suite and select appropriate scenarios for each release or test cycle.

9. Analyze automation failures, troubleshoot object-identification issues, and improve test stability.

10. Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines and test-management tools.

11. Produce clear execution reports, defect evidence,



and automation coverage metrics.

12. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and testing teams.

13. Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide quality-related input throughout the sprint.

14. Contribute to automation standards, code reviews, reusable assets, and continuous improvement.

5. Experience integrating Ranorex with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or another CI/CD platform.

6. Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM, or equivalent test-management tools.

7. SQL and database-validation knowledge.

8. Exposure to API testing using Postman, RestSharp, or equivalent tools.

9. Experience generating and analysing automation execution reports.

10. Ability to assess automation feasibility and select suitable test cases for automation.
