Job Purpose

To lead the plant-level Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Food Safety function, ensuring product quality, food safety, regulatory compliance, process control, audit readiness, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead complete QA/QC and Food Safety operations across the manufacturing plant.

- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, HACCP, GMP, GHP, ISO/FSMS and applicable food-safety standards.

- Monitor IPQC and Finished Goods Quality from raw material/process stages through final packing.

- Ensure product parameters such as weight, moisture, dimensions, colour, texture, breakage, baking parameters, packaging and coding meet specifications.

- Manage FG release, product hold, rejection and disposition as per approved procedures.

- Conduct internal audits and ensure readiness for customer, certification, FSSAI and external audits.

- Drive RCA, CAPA and corrective/preventive actions for quality deviations and customer complaints.

- Analyse customer complaints, identify recurring defects and implement preventive measures.

- Ensure GMP/GHP, sanitation, personal hygiene, pest control and 5S standards across the plant.

- Drive Kaizen, continuous improvement,



defect reduction and quality-cost improvement initiatives.

- Develop and implement quality training and competency programs for QA and production teams.

- Prepare and review DQR, WBR, MQR, quality dashboards, CAPA trackers and MIS reports.

- Work closely with Production, Engineering, Stores, R&D; and other departments to resolve quality issues.

- Monitor quality trends, rejection, hold, rework, complaints and Cost of Poor Quality.

- Ensure proper documentation, traceability and adherence to quality procedures.

- Lead and develop the QA/QC team and establish strong quality culture and second-line capability.

- Escalate critical food-safety, regulatory or serious product-quality risks to Plant/Operations Head.

Industry-Specific Requirement

- Lucknow / Surat / Kolkata: Mandatory: 8+ years of relevant experience in the Biscuits Manufacturing Industry.

- Haridwar: Mandatory: 8+ years of relevant experience in Biscuits and/or Chocolate Manufacturing Industry. Candidates with exposure to both biscuits and chocolate manufacturing will be preferred.
