Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Quality Engineer to ensure product and process quality as per customer requirements and company standards. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining quality systems, reducing rejection and rework, conducting root-cause analysis, and driving continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor incoming, in-process and final inspection activities.

- Ensure products are manufactured as per drawings, specifications and customer requirements.

- Analyze internal and customer quality issues and prepare 8D / CAPA reports.

- Perform Root Cause Analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto and other quality tools.

- Prepare and maintain PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow and Inspection Standards.

- Monitor process performance using SPC, Cp/Cpk and quality data analysis.

- Conduct MSA / Gauge R&R; and ensure measuring instruments are properly calibrated.

- Handle customer complaints and coordinate corrective/preventive actions.

- Support PPAP and APQP activities for new products and engineering changes.

- Conduct process, product and layered audits.

- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Tool Room and Engineering teams to resolve quality problems.

- Identify opportunities for Poka-Yoke, Kaizen and continuous improvement.





- Maintain quality records, inspection reports and other QMS documentation.

- Support ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 audits and compliance activities.

- Monitor rejection, rework, scrap, PPM/DPPM and other quality KPIs.

- Train operators regarding quality standards, inspection methods and defect prevention.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of 7 QC Tools.

- 8D, CAPA, RCA, 5 Why, Fishbone.

- PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow.

- SPC, MSA, Gauge R&R;, Cp/Cpk.

- Knowledge of PPAP/APQP.

- Good knowledge of engineering drawings and basic GD&T;.

- Hands-on experience with Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Gauges, etc.

- Knowledge of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949.

- Good MS Excel and report-preparation skills.

- Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in automobile / auto-component / sheet-metal / CNC / machining / fabrication / assembly industry.

- Experience in customer and supplier quality is an advantage.

- Knowledge of SAP/ERP quality modules will be an added advantage.
