Key Responsibilities

- Lead QA strategy, planning, and execution across backend, APIs, and performance layers.

- Perform detailed backend testing

, ensuring seamless data flow and business logic validation.

- Conduct robust

API testing and automation using tools like

Rest Assured, Postman, SoapUI

.

- Assess the performance, scalability, and resiliency of large-scale systems, APIs, and backend services.

- Contribute to building and maintaining automation test suites using tools like

Mocha, JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright

.

- Script test cases and automation flows using

JavaScript, Java, or Python

.

- Collaborate closely with developers,



DevOps, and product managers in Agile sprints.

- Validate end-to-end system behavior in multi-tier, microservices-based cloud architectures

.

- Proactively identify test gaps, performance bottlenecks, and quality risks.

- Own and report QA metrics, test coverage, and release readiness to stakeholders.

Must-Have Skills

- Strong experience in

Backend Testing and

API Testing & Automation

- Proficiency with

Rest Assured, Postman, SoapUI

- Experience testing scalable, distributed systems and microservices architectures

- Good scripting ability in

JavaScript and Java/Python for automation

- Hands-on with frameworks like

Mocha, JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright

- Experience in testing web applications/cloud-based SaaS platforms

Valuable-to-Have Skills (Bonus)

- Working knowledge of

JavaScript/ES6 (Node.js)

to test REST APIs

- Familiarity with

SaaS product environments

- Experience working in

Agile/Scrum teams and fast-paced startups
