Role & responsibilities :

1. Supplier Quality Assurance

- Ensure suppliers manufacture and supply defect-free components as per drawings, specifications, control plans, and quality requirements.
- Develop and monitor suppliers to achieve required quality standards.
- Review supplier manufacturing processes and ensure adherence to approved Control Plans and inspection standards.
- Conduct supplier visits for process verification, quality improvement, and implementation of mistake-proofing / Poka-Yoke.
- Conduct supplier audits as per the audit calendar.
- Monitor supplier performance through PPM, rejection, delivery, and corrective action data.
- Coordinate with suppliers for corrective and preventive actions.

1. PPAP & New Product Quality

- Coordinate with suppliers for PPAP / new product development activities.
- Verify sample parts before PPAP approval.
- Review drawings, specifications, Control Plans, inspection reports, and other quality documentation.
- Conduct / coordinate layout inspection of components and maintain inspection records.
- Support new part development and ensure process readiness before production.

1. Problem Solving & Corrective Action

- Identify quality abnormalities and coordinate immediate containment actions to avoid production-line interruptions.
- Raise and follow up on 8D reports from suppliers for quality issues.
- Verify root cause and effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Monitor recurring defects and implement preventive actions.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams for permanent resolution of quality problems.

1. Incoming,



In-Process & Final Inspection

- Perform or coordinate incoming inspection of purchased components and materials.
- Conduct in-process and final inspection as per defined quality plans.
- Verify dimensions, tolerances, specifications, and product characteristics.
- Ensure proper segregation and control of non-conforming materials.
- Maintain inspection reports and quality records.

1. Process & Product Quality

- Conduct regular process, product, gauge, and Poka-Yoke audits.
- Review manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to reduce rejection and rework.
- Monitor process capability through Cp / Cpk.
- Implement and monitor SPC and Control Charts.
- Conduct MSA / Gauge R&R; and layout inspection as required.
- Support Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement activities.

1. Rejection Analysis & Quality Reporting

- Prepare daily and monthly rejection reports.
- Monitor supplier and internal rejection levels.
- Prepare supplier PPM reports and defect-wise rejection analysis.
- Identify major rejection trends and coordinate corrective actions.
- Support reduction of scrap, rejection, rework, and quality-related costs.
- Maintain quality records, reports, and documentation.

Technical Skills




- Solid knowledge of engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T;.
- Experience in Supplier Quality Assurance / Supplier Quality Engineering.
- Knowledge of PPAP, APQP, Control Plan, 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and 7 QC Tools.
- Knowledge of Cp / Cpk and process capability studies.
- Experience in supplier and process audits.
- Knowledge of Poka-Yoke, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement.
- Experience in rejection analysis and defect reduction.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments, gauges, and layout inspection.
- Working knowledge of SAP / ERP and MS Excel.

Preferred candidate profile : Candidates with experience in the following areas will be preferred:

- Supplier Quality / SQA / SQE
- Automotive / Engineering / Manufacturing industry
- Precision machined components
- Forgings / Castings / Fabricated components
- Incoming, in-process, and final inspection
- Supplier development and supplier audits
- PPAP and new product development
- Process capability and MSA
- Rejection reduction and quality improvement

Candidate Profile
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, Metallurgy, or related discipline.
- 36 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control / Supplier Quality.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and supplier coordination skills.
- Ability to work closely with Suppliers, Engineering, Production, Purchase, and Quality teams.
- Willingness to travel to supplier locations when required.
