Role Overview

We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) professional who brings a solid, product-focused mindset to testing and quality. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role focused on executing and improving testing practices across multiple products and platforms.

You will work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and other QA team members to ensure quality is considered early and consistently throughout the development lifecycle. This role contributes to shared QA practices and standards but does not include people management, ownership of QA strategy, or team leadership responsibilities.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys deep involvement in testing, cross-functional collaboration, and contributing to evolving QA practices in a growing startup workplace.

What You’ll Do Product-Centered Quality

- Test features and releases with a focus on user value, business goals, and risk.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to understand feature intent and quality expectations.
- Contribute to discussions around test scope, acceptable risk, and release readiness.
- Prioritize testing efforts based on customer impact and product importance.

Applying Shared QA Practices

- Follow and contribute to existing QA processes, tools, and testing standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve consistency and effectiveness across teams.




- Adapt testing approaches to different products and platforms while aligning with shared practices.

Manual & Automated Testing

- Perform hands-on manual testing across web, backend, and platform-specific features.
- Contribute to automated test suites in collaboration with QA and Engineering team members.
- Maintain and improve existing automated tests to ensure reliability and usefulness.
- Apply automation where it increases confidence and manual testing where it adds the most value.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with Engineers during development to identify issues early.
- Participate in planning, refinement, and design discussions to surface quality risks.
- Communicate clearly and effectively about defects, risks, and test results.
- Support a shared ownership model for quality across Product and Engineering.

Continuous Improvement & Scaling

- Provide feedback on QA processes, tools, and workflows.
- Help teams adapt testing practices as products, customers, and system complexity grow.
- Use test results and basic metrics to inform improvements.
- Continuously learn and improve testing techniques and domain knowledge.

- Exploratory & Critical Thinking: Designs meaningful test scenarios independently, questions assumptions early, and explores edge cases and failure paths.

- System & End-to-End Awareness: Understands system interactions beyond the UI, including APIs,



data flow, integrations, and state transitions.

- Risk-Based Judgment: Prioritizes testing and defects based on user impact, business risk, and likelihood of failure.

- Clear Defect Communication: Writes high-signal, actionable bug reports that clearly explain impact and drive fast resolution.

- Technical Curiosity: Investigates issues using logs, APIs, and data checks; reasons about system behavior without requiring coding.

- Ownership Mindset: Takes accountability for overall product quality, proactively identifies gaps, and focuses on prevention over detection.

- Adaptability & Learning: Thrives in fast-changing environments and continuously improves skills and domain knowledge.

What We’re Looking For Required

- Approximately 3–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or software testing roles.
- Experience with both manual and automated testing.

- Exposure to multiple products, platforms, or complex systems.
- Solid communication and collaboration skills.
- A product-oriented mindset with empathy for users.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving startup or scale-up environment.

Nice to Have

- Experience working closely with Product Managers.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows.
- Experience contributing to shared QA practices or test documentation.

- Background in AI-driven, data-intensive, or e-commerce products.
