Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced QC Manager to lead quality control and laboratory operations at our Anantapur plant. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of raw materials, in-process materials and finished products, maintaining testing standards and documentation, managing the QC team, and driving continuous quality improvement.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Knowledge of Particle Size Analysis (PSA) and other mineral testing parameters.
- Knowledge of statistical quality tools such as SPC and control charts.

- Good documentation, reporting and record-keeping skills.
- Good communication skills for effective coordination with Production, Purchase, Sales and other internal/external stakeholders.

1. Quality Testing & Laboratory Management

- Supervise routine testing of raw materials, in-process materials and finished products.
- Ensure testing is carried out as per approved specifications, SOPs and applicable standard methods such as ASTM and ISO.
- Monitor Particle Size Analysis (PSA), chemical parameters, physical properties, brightness and other critical QC parameters.
- Review and approve Certificates of Analysis (COA).
- Ensure proper calibration, maintenance and performance of laboratory instruments such as PSA Analyzer, pH Meter, Brightness Meter and other testing equipment.
- Ensure laboratory housekeeping, safety and proper handling of chemicals and samples.

1. Compliance & Documentation





- Ensure compliance with the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
- Maintain test records, quality reports, control charts and other QC documentation.
- Ensure proper batch traceability and sample retention.
- Handle and coordinate internal and external quality audits.
- Ensure SOPs, test methods and quality procedures are followed by the QC team.

1. Non-Conformance & Corrective Action

- Investigate Out-of-Specification (OOS) and Out-of-Trend (OOT) results.
- Investigate quality deviations, process-related quality issues and customer complaints.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using structured tools such as:
- 5 Why

- Fishbone Diagram

- CAPA
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase and other departments for corrective actions.
- Monitor the effectiveness of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).

1. Supplier Quality Management

- Evaluate supplier COAs and incoming raw material quality.
- Ensure incoming materials meet defined specifications.
- Raise non-conformance reports for supplier deviations.
- Coordinate with Purchase and suppliers for corrective actions and quality improvement.
- Maintain supplier quality records and performance data.

1. Process Monitoring & Quality Improvement

- Monitor quality trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Analyze QC data and implement SPC,



control charts and other statistical tools.
- Work closely with Production to identify process deviations and improve product consistency.
- Support reduction of rejections, rework, process variation and customer complaints.
- Participate in Kaizen, continuous improvement and quality enhancement initiatives.

1. Team Management

- Lead and supervise QC Chemists, Lab Technicians and QC personnel.
- Allocate testing responsibilities and monitor daily laboratory activities.
- Provide training on test methods, SOPs, quality systems and laboratory safety.
- Evaluate team performance and ensure discipline and adherence to quality procedures.
- Ensure safe laboratory operations and compliance with EHS requirements.

1. Customer & Technical Support

- Support customer audits and technical queries related to product quality.
- Coordinate with Sales/Marketing teams for customer quality requirements.
- Assist in investigation and resolution of customer complaints.
- Prepare technical reports, investigation reports and corrective action responses.
- Ensure timely communication of quality-related information to internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in Industrial Minerals / Mineral Processing / Specialty Chemicals / Micronized Minerals will be preferred.
- Exposure to products such as Calcium Carbonate, Dolomite, Talc, Silica, Kaolin, Feldspar, etc. will be an advantage.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in mineral testing, particle size analysis and laboratory management will be preferred.
- Experience in handling and leading a QC laboratory/team in a manufacturing plant is desirable.
