About the Role

Senior QA Engineer with 8-10 years of experience in regulatory reporting and capital markets testing. You will validate data accuracy, report completeness, and regulatory submission integrity across APRA, ASIC, MiFID II, EMIR, and BCBS 239 frameworks — ensuring every regulatory report meets audit and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and execute test strategies for regulatory reporting programmes — APRA, ASIC, RBA, MiFID II, EMIR, Basel III / IV.
- Validate end-to-end regulatory report outputs — source to submission — ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Write and execute advanced SQL queries for data reconciliation, ETL validation, and transformation logic testing.
- Build and maintain automated test frameworks using Python / Java, Selenium / Playwright, and BDD / Cucumber.
- Conduct reconciliation testing — comparing report outputs against golden source systems and identifying data breaks.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute UAT with risk, compliance, and regulatory operations stakeholders.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines — implementing quality gates for regulatory reporting changes.
- Communicate quality status and defect reports to senior stakeholders including risk officers and internal audit.

What We're Looking For

1. 8-10 years years QA experience with strong focus on regulatory reporting and capital markets in Financial Services.
2. Deep knowledge of APRA prudential standards (APS 110 / 112 / 113 / 116) and ASIC derivative transaction reporting.
3.



Advanced SQL skills — Oracle / SQL Server / PostgreSQL — for complex data validation and reconciliation.
4. Proven ETL / data pipeline testing expertise — source-to-target validation and data lineage traceability.
5. Strong test automation skills — Python / Java, Selenium / Playwright, REST API testing, CI/CD integration.
6. Experience managing UAT for regulatory change programmes with senior business and compliance stakeholders.
7. Excellent communication skills — able to produce explicit sign-off evidence for APRA / ASIC audit requirements.

Nice to Have

- Experience with APRA regulatory reporting platforms — Axiom SL / Vermeg / FIS.
- Knowledge of capital markets products — Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, FX.
- Familiarity with trade lifecycle systems — Murex / Calypso / Finastra.
- ISTQB Advanced Level — Test Analyst or Test Manager certification.
