Role Description The QA Lead (Automation) will oversee the planning, design, and execution of automated test frameworks for Skeps’ POS financing products and platforms. This full-time, on-site role based in Gurgaon involves leading QA activities across releases, defining test strategies, managing test coverage, and ensuring the quality of complex, distributed systems.

The individual will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and DevOps teams to identify defects early, maintain high-quality standards, and drive continuous improvements in testing processes. Daily responsibilities include reviewing requirements, creating and maintaining automation scripts, performing root-cause analysis of defects, mentoring QA engineers, and reporting clear quality metrics to stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Quality Assurance and Quality Control,



with experience designing and implementing test plans and automation frameworks.
- Expertise in Quality Management practices, including setting quality standards, monitoring adherence, and driving continuous improvement.
- Experience with Quality Auditing activities such as process reviews, compliance checks, and documentation of findings and corrective actions.
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) or analogous regulatory and compliance frameworks, and ability to apply structured quality principles in a fintech or software product context.
- 8+ years of professional experience in software testing, including significant experience in test automation for web services, APIs, and UI applications.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks (such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST API testing tools, or similar), and strong skills in at least one programming language used for test automation (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python).
- Proficiency in test management tools, version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and defect tracking systems.
- Ability to lead and mentor QA teams, coordinate cross-functional efforts, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in fintech, payments, or high-availability, high-scale product environments is beneficial.
