QA Engineer / Quality Engineer (Automation/ Manual)

What we are looking for

We are seeking a highly motivated QA Engineer who can take end-to-end ownership of quality across Web, Mobile, APIs, and backend services. The ideal candidate should have strong retail/eCommerce domain experience and be comfortable investigating complex production issues using observability tools and network debugging utilities.

Mandatory Skills

Domain Expertise

- Retail / eCommerce domain experience (Grocery, Marketplace, Fulfilment, Checkout, Orders, Payments, Subscription, Customer Journeys)
- Strong understanding of customer-facing digital journeys

Automation Testing
- Hands-on experience with Playwright (Mandatory)
- Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks
- E2E, Regression, Smoke, and Integration testing
- CI/CD execution of automated test suites

API Testing
- Strong understanding of REST APIs
- Hands-on experience with:

- Postman

- API validation

- Contract testing

- Request/Response analysis

- Authentication mechanisms (OAuth/JWT)

Troubleshooting & Observability
- Experience using:

- Splunk

- Current Relic

- Any observability platforms

- Ability to

- Analyse logs

- Investigate production incidents





- Trace customer journeys
- Debug failures across distributed systems

Network Analysis
- Charles Proxy experience (Mandatory)
- Traffic inspection and API troubleshooting
- Mobile and Web request analysis
- Debugging client-server communication issues

Agile Delivery
- Jira story creation and refinement
- Writing clear acceptance criteria
- Test strategy creation
- Defect management and triage
- Sprint planning participation

- Act as the quality owner for the product area
- Drive testing strategy from requirements through production
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders
- Challenge requirements and identify gaps early
- Proactively identify risks and quality issues
- Lead root cause investigations
- Drive quality improvements across teams
- Mentor junior engineers and promote quality engineering best practices
