Automation Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer with a strong background in web and mobile application testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in WebDriverIO, TypeScript, Selenium, Cucumber, Java, and automation framework development.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks and test solutions while working closely with development, QA, and business teams in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web and mobile applications.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts using WebDriverIO and TypeScript.
- Perform functional and automation testing for web and mobile applications.
- Develop and maintain automation solutions using Selenium with Cucumber/TestNG/JUnit.
- Design and enhance BDD-based automation frameworks.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within automated testing processes.
- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices.
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders in an Agile environment.
- Maintain test cases, defects, and test execution results using tools such as JIRA and TestRail.
- Participate in framework design discussions and contribute to improving automation standards and best practices.
- Work effectively with geographically distributed teams and communicate technical information clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.

Required Technical Skills




- 6+ years of relevant experience in Software Test Automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with WebDriverIO.
- Strong experience with TypeScript.
- Good hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
- Experience with Cucumber and BDD.
- Strong programming experience in Java.
- Experience with TestNG and/or JUnit.
- Hands-on experience in automation framework design and development.
- Experience with automation testing for web and mobile applications.
- Good understanding of HTML and CSS.
- Strong knowledge of Git/version control systems.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins.
- Experience with test management tools such as JIRA and TestRail.
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Skills
- Experience designing reusable and scalable automation frameworks.
- Experience working with distributed or geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good understanding of software development and testing methodologies.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
