Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks using Python.
- Develop automated test scripts for UI, API, backend, and integration testing using Selenium, Playwright, and PyTest.
- Build reusable automation libraries, utilities, and test infrastructure components.
- Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, End-to-End (E2E), and System Integration Testing (SIT).
- Design and execute automated API tests for RESTful services and microservices.
- Validate APIs, databases, backend services, and data integrity.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and enable Continuous Testing.
- Analyze test coverage, automation effectiveness, and quality metrics.
- Participate in architecture reviews and provide quality engineering recommendations.
- Conduct root cause analysis of defects and work closely with development teams to drive resolution.
- Define test strategies, estimation, and quality plans for releases.
- Review automation code and enforce coding standards and best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive adoption of quality engineering practices across teams.
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

Python & Software Engineering

- 8+ years of Software QA/Test Automation experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on Python programming experience.
- Solid understanding of OOP, Design Patterns, Exception Handling, Multithreading, Generators, Decorators, Context Managers, and Package Management.

Test Automation

- Strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, and PyTest.
- Experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
- Experience with Page Object Model (POM),



Data-Driven, Keyword-Driven, and Hybrid Frameworks.
- Test reporting using Allure or similar reporting tools.
- Experience implementing parallel and distributed test execution.

API & Integration Testing

- Strong experience in REST API automation.
- Hands-on experience with Python Requests library and Postman.
- Experience with OAuth2, JWT Authentication, API Contract Testing, Schema Validation, API Mocking, and Service Virtualization.
- Experience testing microservices-based applications.

Database & Backend Testing

- Strong SQL knowledge.
- Experience validating backend services and data integrity.
- Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.

CI/CD & DevOps

- Hands-on experience with Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Linux environments and shell scripting.

Quality Engineering & Leadership

- Experience defining test strategies and automation roadmaps.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead quality initiatives and mentor team members.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

- Robot Framework or Behave (BDD).
- Docker and Kubernetes.
- AWS or Azure Cloud platforms.
- Performance testing using JMeter or Gatling.
- Kafka/Event-Driven Architecture testing.
- Contract Testing using Pact.
- Security testing awareness and OWASP fundamentals.
- AI-assisted testing tools and automation accelerators.
