Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Years Programme (PYP) Homeroom Teacher (HRT) to lead and guide a class of students in Grades 1-6. As a Homeroom Teacher, you will take on the responsibility of teaching all core subjects, including English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, while fostering a nurturing, inclusive setting for the students. You will serve as the primary point of contact for the class, ensuring a holistic learning experience that aligns with the IB PYP framework. Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in English, Math, Science, and Social Studies using the PYP inquiry-based approach.

Responsibilities

- Foster a student-centered, collaborative environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and independent learning.
- Use assessments to track progress and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
- Guide students through interdisciplinary projects that promote holistic learning.
- Encourage reflection, self-assessment, and ownership of learning.
- Support social-emotional development and teamwork, while respecting diversity.
- Serve as the primary communication point for parents on student progress and needs.




- Participate in school-wide events, exhibitions, and extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless curriculum integration.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

- Bachelor s/Master s degree in Education or related field (not mandatory).
- Strong command of English with excellent communication skills.
- Experience teaching young children, preferably in an international or IB school.
- Familiarity with the IB PYP framework and inquiry-based learning is a plus (not mandatory).
- Passion for teaching and nurturing students academic and social growth.
- Creative, adaptable, and student-focused.
- Candidates without formal B.Ed. qualifications but with strong language skills are welcome to apply; training provided.

Work Time

7:40 AM to 3:45 PM (Monday to Saturday)
