We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager with a Civil Engineering background to manage centralized procurement for a group of schools. The role will be responsible for strategic sourcing, vendor development, negotiations, cost control and timely procurement of materials, services and infrastructure-related requirements across school campuses.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end purchase and procurement activities for multiple schools.
- Source and procure Civil, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Fabrication, Painting, Glass &
- Aluminium, Hardware and Sanitary

materials.
- Handle procurement for school infrastructure, renovation, maintenance, furniture, landscaping, RO systems, CCTV/IT, printing, pest control, inverters/batteries and other operational requirements.
- Identify, evaluate and develop reliable vendors, contractors and service providers.
- Obtain and compare quotations, prepare comparative statements, negotiate prices and finalize suppliers.
- Ensure optimum quality, cost and timely delivery of materials and services.
- Coordinate with school administrators, engineers, project teams and vendors to understand requirements and specifications.
- Manage AMC, service and maintenance contracts, including renewals and vendor performance.
- Review Purchase Orders, invoices, delivery documents and payment-related records.
- Ensure appropriate compliance with GST, TDS/TCS, procurement policies and documentation requirements.




- Monitor purchase budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities and maintain effective cost controls.
- Maintain vendor database, purchase records, stock/material inward details and procurement MIS.
- Conduct regular market surveys and rate analysis to identify competitive sources and prevailing market prices.
- Visit school sites and vendor locations as required for assessment, quality checks and coordination.
- Lead and guide the purchase/procurement team and ensure adherence to organizational processes.

Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering preferred.
- MBA in Purchase/Procurement/Supply Chain/Operations would be an added advantage.

Experience
- 10+ years of overall Purchase/Procurement experience, preferably in construction, infrastructure, real estate, facilities management or large educational institutions.
- Minimum 3 years in a managerial/supervisory role preferred.
- Robust experience in procurement of civil and MEP materials/services is essential.
