Company Description Tamana is a non-profit voluntary organization established in 1984 to provide rehabilitative services for individuals who are mentally challenged, multiply disabled, or on the autism spectrum. Recognized with Special Consultative Status by the United Nations Economic and Social Council since 2005, Tamana operates three specialized centres in Vasant Vihar, New Delhi. These centres include a Special Education Centre for children, a Skill Development Centre for adults, and an Autism Centre-School of Hope for autistic children and young adults.

Serving over 200 learners, many from economically weaker sections, Tamana focuses on individualized education programs supported by in-house diagnostics and a multidisciplinary team. The organization’s mission is to foster social and economic independence through special education, therapeutic interventions, counselling, vocational training, and comprehensive co-curricular activities.

Role Description The Psychologist will work full time in office at Tamana’s centres in Delhi, India, providing psychological services to children, young adults, and adults with diverse disabilities and autism spectrum conditions. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting psychological assessments, supporting diagnostic evaluations, and developing individualized intervention and counselling plans in collaboration with special educators, therapists, and vocational trainers.



The role involves delivering individual and group counselling sessions, monitoring progress, documenting case histories, and contributing to multidisciplinary meetings to refine students’ individualized education programs.

The Psychologist will also provide guidance to families and caregivers, support behavior management strategies, participate in training and awareness programs, and help maintain ethical and evidence-based clinical practices within the organization.
