Role Description The Proposal Engineer will be responsible for preparing technical and commercial proposals for water and wastewater treatment systems and process equipment, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing tender documents and specifications, coordinating with design, sales, and procurement teams, and developing accurate cost estimates and project scopes. The role involves creating clear proposal documentation, technical datasheets, and BOQs, as well as contributing to solution design and value engineering.
The Proposal
Engineer will engage with clients to clarify requirements,
support pre-sales activities, and assist in technical presentations when needed. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Maharashtra, India.
Qualifications
- Robust technical knowledge of water treatment, wastewater treatment, and process equipment, preferably within pharmaceuticals, chemicals, biotechnology, food and beverage, or dairy sectors.
- Experience in proposal engineering, tendering, cost estimation, and preparation of technical and commercial bids for industrial projects.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, P&IDs;, specifications, and standards, and translate them into clear proposal documents and BOQs.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with design or CAD tools is an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to present technical information clearly.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple proposals and deadlines.
- Capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and interact professionally with clients and vendors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline; relevant industry experience is highly desirable.
