Job Title: Proofpoint Administrator

Location: Mumbai/Ahmedabad/Bangalore/Hyderabad/Chennai Shift: Rotational including Night Shift

Exp Range: 4-6 Years

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Proofpoint Administrator to manage, support, and optimize the organization's email security infrastructure using Proofpoint. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and policy management of the Proofpoint platform to ensure secure and uninterrupted email communications. This role requires working in the Night Shift to support global operations and provide timely incident response.

Key Responsibilities

· Administer and manage Proofpoint Email Protection and related security solutions

· Configure and maintain email security policies, spam filtering, phishing protection, and data loss prevention (DLP) controls

· Monitor email security alerts, investigate incidents, and perform threat analysis

· Configure, manage, and maintain Firewall Rules and Policies to ensure secure network access and compliance with organizational security standards

· Troubleshoot email delivery issues, false positives, and email security-related incidents

· Configure and manage URL Rewrite policies to control web traffic and enhance security

· Manage allow/block lists, quarantine policies, URL defense, attachment defense, and encryption settings

· Perform regular health checks, system audits, and compliance reviews

· Coordinate with security, infrastructure,



and messaging teams to resolve complex issues

· Create and maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles

· Generate and present reports on email security posture, threats, and platform performance

· Participate in change management, upgrades, and Proofpoint feature implementations

· Support incident response activities and provide after-hours support as required

Required Skills & Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field

· 4-6 years of experience in email security administration, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Proofpoint Administration

· Strong knowledge of:

o Proofpoint Email Protection (PPS/POD)

o Email Authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)

o SMTP mail flow and email security concepts o Email Encryption, and Threat Protection

· Familiarity with security incident management processes

· Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills

· Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

· Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as Security+, CEH, CISSP, or vendor-specific certifications

· Experience with cloud-based email security platforms and enterprise messaging environments

· Knowledge of scripting for automation and reporting is a plus

Experience Required: 4-6 Years Notice Period: 1 Months or less Shift: Rotational with mandatory Night Shift
