Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager – Telecom & GIS to manage end-to-end telecom and geospatial projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality, budget adherence, and effective coordination between internal teams, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Telecom Network Projects, GIS/Geospatial operations, project planning, resource management, client handling, and delivery management. Experience managing projects involving FTTH, Fiber, OSP/ISP, telecom network design, GIS mapping, network inventory, and as-built documentation will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

- Manage end-to-end Telecom and GIS projects from initiation through completion.
- Define project scope, deliverables, milestones, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Prepare and maintain project plans, schedules, trackers, and status reports.
- Monitor project progress against timelines, quality standards, and budgets.
- Identify project risks, dependencies, and issues and implement appropriate mitigation plans.
- Ensure projects are delivered within agreed scope, schedule, cost, and quality parameters.

Telecom & GIS Delivery
- Manage projects related to fiber networks, FTTH, OSP/ISP, telecom infrastructure, network design, and GIS mapping.
- Oversee GIS data collection, digitization, network mapping, design, validation, and documentation.
- Coordinate with engineering and GIS teams for network design and implementation deliverables.
- Review project outputs for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with client specifications.
- Ensure timely completion of as-built drawings, network documentation, GIS databases, and project deliverables.
- Coordinate with field teams for surveys, data collection, validation, and issue resolution.

Team & Resource Management




- Lead and manage cross-functional teams consisting of GIS Engineers, Telecom Engineers, Designers, Survey Teams, QA/QC teams, and project coordinators.
- Allocate resources based on project requirements and priorities.
- Monitor team productivity and delivery performance.
- Conduct regular project review meetings and track action items.
- Identify resource gaps and coordinate with management for timely resolution.

Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for project-related communication with clients and stakeholders.
- Understand client requirements and translate them into actionable project plans.
- Conduct regular client meetings and project status reviews.
- Manage client expectations and ensure timely resolution of issues and escalations.
- Prepare and present project status reports, dashboards, KPIs, and delivery updates.

Quality & Process Management
- Ensure project deliverables meet defined quality standards and client requirements.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams for quality checks and audits.
- Establish and monitor project KPIs and SLAs.
- Implement process improvements to improve productivity, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Ensure proper project documentation and version control.

Required Skills
- Strong Project Management and Delivery Management skills.
- Good understanding of Telecom and GIS/Geospatial domains.
- Experience in Fiber/FTTH, OSP, ISP, telecom network infrastructure projects.
- Understanding of GIS-based telecom network design and mapping.
- Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, risk management, and resource planning.




- Excellent client and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Robust knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project or similar project management tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects/workstreams simultaneously.

Technical Knowledge – Preferred Experience with one or more of the following will be an advantage:
- ArcGIS / ArcGIS Pro
- QGIS
- AutoCAD
- Smallworld GIS
- Telecom Network Design Tools
- Fiber / FTTH Design Tools
- GIS-based Network Inventory Systems
- Google Earth / KMZ / KML
- SQL / Database concepts
- Power BI or other project reporting/dashboard tools

Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, GIS, Geospatial Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- MBA / PMP / PRINCE2 certification will be an added advantage.

Experience
- 8+ years of overall experience, with significant experience in Telecom/GIS project delivery.
- Proven experience managing telecom network and/or GIS projects.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
- Experience working with international clients will be an advantage.
- Candidates with experience in Telecom OSP, FTTH, Fiber Network Design, GIS Mapping, or Geospatial Projects are preferred.
