Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer Substations Engineering to handle secondary engineering and protection & control design activities for AIS/GIS substations. The role involves substation design, technical documentation, vendor coordination, customer interaction, tender/project engineering and support during erection and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review tender documents, technical specifications and prepare design intent documents.
- Prepare Protection SLDs, schematics, circuit diagrams, wiring/termination diagrams and cable schedules.
- Develop signal lists, trip matrices, logics, interlocks and relay ordering information.
- Design and review Control & Relay panels, auxiliary AC/DC systems and substation interfaces.
- Perform CT/VT sizing, voltage-drop calculations, cable sizing and related engineering studies.
- Review and technically evaluate vendor drawings, offers and equipment documentation.
- Coordinate with engineering, project, SCM, vendors, customers and other design teams.
- Support FAT/SAT, customer approvals, site visits, erection and commissioning activities.
- Handle SCADA/RTU, Bay Controller, Teleprotection and primary equipment interfaces.




- Prepare BoQ, engineering effort estimates and support tender costing.
- Identify technical risks/opportunities and ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE standards, quality requirements and safety-by-design principles.
- Contribute to OPEX, process improvement and initiatives to reduce engineering effort.

Required Skills:

- Strong experience in Substation Secondary Engineering and Protection & Control.
- Hands-on experience in AIS/GIS substation design.
- Expertise in Protection SLD, schematics, control & relay panels and cable engineering.
- Knowledge of CT/VT sizing, AC/DC auxiliary systems and relay engineering.
- Knowledge of SCADA/RTU, Bay Controller and Teleprotection interfaces.
- Experience in vendor drawing review, technical offer evaluation and customer approvals.
- Proficiency in CAD tools and E3.
- Positive knowledge of IEC/IEEE standards.
- Strong project coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and guide/coordinate engineering activities across teams and countries.

Preferred Profile: Candidates with 11–15 years of relevant experience in Substation Engineering / Protection & Control / Secondary Engineering, preferably with experience in both tendering and project execution, will be preferred.
