Role Description The Professor role at MIET is a full-time, on-site position based in Akhnoor. The Professor will deliver high-quality lectures, guide laboratory and project work, and supervise student research at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Responsibilities include designing and updating course curricula, mentoring students in academic and career development, and maintaining regular student assessment and feedback. The Professor will engage in scholarly research, publish in reputable journals, participate in academic committees,



and contribute to departmental and institutional initiatives that strengthen teaching quality and industry linkages.

Qualifications

- Advanced academic credentials, typically a Ph.D. in a relevant engineering or technology discipline from a recognized university, with a strong record of teaching and research.
- Demonstrated experience in university-level teaching, curriculum development, and use of modern pedagogical methods and educational technologies.
- Proven research capabilities, including publications in peer-reviewed journals, conference participation, and the ability to secure and manage funded projects.
- Strong mentoring and supervisory skills for guiding student projects, theses, and academic advising, with a student-centered approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to teach, present, and collaborate effectively in a diverse academic environment.
- Commitment to ethical academic practices, continuous professional development, and contribution to departmental administration and institutional committees.
- Experience in accreditation processes, quality assurance, or outcome-based education will be considered an added advantage.
