Job Summary

We are looking for a Production & Quality Supervisor with 2–4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. The candidate will be responsible for capacity planning, production improvement, quality control, team handling, and machine/tool management. The role requires strong shop-floor coordination, problem-solving ability, and hands-on knowledge of machines and tools.

Key ResponsibilitiesCapacity Planning & Process Improvements

- Plan production capacity based on workload, manpower, machine availability, and production requirements.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, tools, and production time.
- Monitor daily production against planned targets and take corrective actions for deviations.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement improvement measures.
- Improve productivity through effective machine, manpower, and process utilization.
- Coordinate with Planning, Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, rejection, rework, and process losses.

Team Handling & Coordination
- Handle and supervise production teams to achieve daily targets.
- Allocate work based on manpower skills, machine availability, and production priorities.
- Monitor team productivity, attendance, discipline, and work quality.
- Guide, train, and motivate team members to improve performance.
- Communicate daily production and quality targets clearly to the team.
- Resolve shop-floor issues and coordinate with other departments for timely solutions.
- Ensure protected and disciplined working practices within the team.

Machine & Tool Knowledge




- Possess practical knowledge of production machines, tools, fixtures, and measuring instruments used in manufacturing.
- Ensure machines and tools are used correctly as per process requirements.
- Identify basic machine/tool-related problems and coordinate with Maintenance when required.
- Monitor machine performance, downtime, and tool condition.
- Ensure proper availability and usage of required tools for production activities.
- Support machine and process improvement activities to improve productivity and quality.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of production tools and equipment.

Required Skills

- Practical knowledge of machines, tools, fixtures, and measuring equipment.

- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and production/ERP systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualification
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in production, manufacturing, quality, or operations.
- Experience in jewellery manufacturing or a similar precision-manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.

- Hands-on experience in shop-floor/team handling.
- Strong understanding of production capacity and manpower planning.
- Practical exposure to machine and tool operations.
