Position Summary The Production & Procurement Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day production activities, maintaining and updating BOMs, arranging materials from vendors, following up on purchase orders and deliveries, and ensuring that required components are available for production. The candidate will also handle screws, fasteners, tools, mechanical components, production materials, and basic assembly requirements. The role requires good coordination with engineering, procurement, vendors, and production teams, along with strong documentation and follow-up skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. BOM & Material Management

- Prepare, maintain, and update Bill of Materials (BOM) for products and projects.
- Track component part numbers, quantities, specifications, and required quantities.
- Maintain BOM revision history and ensure the latest BOM is used for production.
- Identify material shortages and communicate requirements to the concerned team.
- Prepare material requirement lists based on production requirements.
- Maintain Excel-based BOM and inventory records.

2. Vendor Coordination & Procurement Follow-Up

- Coordinate with vendors for procurement of electronic, RF, mechanical, hardware, and other production materials.
- Send material requirements and RFQs to vendors and collect quotations.
- Compare quotations, lead times, and availability.
- Follow up with vendors for purchase orders, material readiness, dispatch, and delivery.
- Maintain vendor contact details and procurement records.
- Escalate delays or material shortages to management/procurement team.
- Coordinate with local vendors for urgent production requirements.

3. Production Coordination

- Coordinate daily production activities based on project priorities.
- Ensure required components and materials are available before production starts.
- Track production status and pending activities.
- Coordinate between engineering, procurement, assembly, testing, and management teams.
- Follow up on pending production tasks and ensure timely completion.
- Maintain production status reports and material tracking sheets.

4. Screws, Fasteners & Hardware Management

- Maintain stock of screws, nuts, bolts, washers, spacers, standoffs,



brackets, connectors, and other hardware.
- Identify and arrange required fasteners based on mechanical drawings and assembly requirements.
- Maintain proper storage and labeling of hardware.
- Track consumption and reorder materials before stock-out.
- Maintain a simple hardware inventory sheet.

5. Tools & Equipment Management

- Maintain records of production and assembly tools.
- Ensure tools are available and properly stored after use.
- Maintain basic tool inventory and issue/return records.
- Coordinate procurement of current tools when required.
- Monitor tool condition and report damaged or missing tools.
- Support the production team in maintaining an organized work area.

6. Mechanical Assembly Support

- Understand basic mechanical drawings, dimensions, and assembly instructions.
- Support mechanical assembly and integration activities.
- Understand basic concepts of screws, threads, fasteners, brackets, enclosures, spacers, and mounting hardware.
- Coordinate with mechanical vendors for fabrication and machining requirements.
- Follow up on sheet-metal, CNC, 3D printing, machining, fabrication, and enclosure requirements when applicable.
- Ensure received mechanical parts match the required dimensions/specifications.

7. Inventory & Stores Management

- Maintain records of incoming and outgoing production materials.
- Track stock levels of electronic components, mechanical parts, hardware, cables, connectors, and consumables.
- Perform periodic physical stock verification.
- Maintain proper labelling and storage of materials.
- Identify slow-moving, shortage, or excess materials.
- Prepare material shortage and inventory reports.

8. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain BOM, purchase, vendor, inventory, and production tracking sheets.
- Prepare daily/weekly production status reports.
- Maintain delivery and material follow-up records.  Maintain vendor quotation and purchase documentation.
- Update management on pending materials and production issues.
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability of project materials.



Required Qualifications Educational Qualification

Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in:

- Mechanical Engineering
- Production Engineering
- Electrical & Electronics Engineering
- Electronics & Communication Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Any relevant technical discipline Experience

Minimum 1 year of experience in production coordination, procurement, stores, material management, or manufacturing. Experience in electronics, RF, antenna, defence, mechanical assembly, or engineering industries will be an added advantage.

- Freshers with strong technical knowledge and good Excel skills may also be considered. Required Skills Technical Skills
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and basic documentation.
- Ability to prepare and maintain BOM sheets.
- Basic understanding of electronic and mechanical components.
- Basic understanding of mechanical drawings and dimensions.
- Knowledge of screws, nuts, bolts, fasteners, spacers, brackets, and hardware.
- Basic knowledge of inventory and material management.
- Ability to understand part numbers, specifications, and component quantities.

Coordination Skills

- Good vendor communication and follow-up skills.
- Ability to coordinate with engineering, production, procurement, and management teams.
- Ability to track multiple materials and activities simultaneously.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be someone who is hands-on and organized, who can manage the BOM sheet, coordinate with vendors, continuously follow up on pending materials, maintain screws and hardware, manage production tools, track inventory, and support basic mechanical assembly activities. Key requirement: The candidate should be comfortable working between Engineering → Procurement → Vendor → Stores → Production → Assembly, ensuring that required materials reach production on time.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
