Job title field: Production Incharge – Bag Manufacturing |
Location: Surat, Gujarat, India
Experience: 3–6 Years
Employment type: Full-time, in office
Hours: 9:30 am to 7:00 pm
Compensation: ₹30,000 – ₹35,000 per month
About the Role
Running a production floor in bag manufacturing means holding together four departments, dozens of workers, and daily deadlines — all at the same time. This role sits at the centre of that pressure, and it needs someone who has actually stood on a factory floor and made things move.
What the work looks like:
- You plan and schedule daily production, aligning cutting, stitching, printing, and packing departments so that orders leave on time and in the right condition. You track the sequence of work across each stage, flag bottlenecks early, and adjust plans when the floor throws up the unexpected. Excel is your working tool for keeping that picture clear.
- You manage the workers directly. That means assigning tasks, maintaining discipline, keeping attendance and output in check, and stepping in when throughput drops or quality slips. The team performs to the standard you hold, so you need to be present and consistent.
- Quality control is part of your daily round, not a separate function. You monitor output at each stage, catch defects before they compound,
and make sure every order that leaves the unit matches what the client committed to. When something is off, you identify the cause and fix it on the floor, not after the fact.
We're looking for someone with
- 3 to 6 years of experience in production supervision or a production incharge role in a manufacturing unit
- A Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- Hands-on experience in production planning, scheduling, and order fulfilment against committed timelines
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for tracking production data and schedules
- Direct experience managing a shop floor workforce, including task allocation and discipline
- The ability to coordinate across multiple departments — cutting, stitching, printing, and packing — without losing track of priorities
- Experience in cotton bag or non-woven bag manufacturing is an advantage, though not a requirement
Why this one is worth a look
This is an on-floor leadership role with real decision-making authority across the full production cycle. You are not managing one department; you are responsible for how the entire unit runs each day. For someone with the right experience, the scope is clear and the accountability is direct.
