Junior Merchandiser – Women’s Ethnic Wear

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Junior Merchandiser with a minimum of 2 years of experience in women’s ethnic wear manufacturing. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating styles and orders from product development and sampling through production and dispatch.

The candidate must be comfortable working closely with Design, Fabric, Sampling, Production, Embroidery, Printing, Quality and Dispatch teams and should have strong follow-up and coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product & Sample Development

- Understand designs, references, sketches and product requirements.
- Coordinate with the Design and Sampling teams for development of new styles.
- Prepare and maintain style-wise product details.
- Follow up on sample development, alterations and approvals.
- Maintain records of approved samples and ensure bulk production follows the approved sample.

1. Fabric & Trims Coordination

- Coordinate with the Fabric Department regarding fabric requirements and availability.
- Follow up on dyeing, printing, finishing and other fabric processes.
- Coordinate requirements for trims, laces, buttons, embellishments, threads and accessories.
- Ensure materials are available as per the production requirement and timelines.

1. Production Follow-Up

- Coordinate with the Production team on style-wise production status.
- Track orders from cutting → embroidery/printing → stitching → finishing → packing → dispatch.
- Follow up regularly with concerned departments to ensure timelines are maintained.
- Identify delays or bottlenecks and escalate them promptly.
- Ensure production is carried out according to approved samples and specifications.

1. TNA & Order Management

- Prepare and maintain Time & Action (TNA) plans for styles/orders.




- Monitor critical production and development deadlines.
- Maintain daily/weekly order status reports.
- Ensure all pending activities are followed up and closed on time.

1. Quality Coordination

- Coordinate with the Quality team to address quality issues.
- Ensure measurement, fabric, colour, embroidery, printing and finishing requirements are followed.
- Communicate corrections and changes clearly to the relevant departments.

1. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain style files, sample records, approvals and production information.
- Maintain order-wise and style-wise trackers.
- Prepare regular merchandising and production status reports.
- Ensure all changes and approvals are properly documented.

Experience & Qualification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in apparel merchandising.
- Experience specifically in women’s ethnic wear is strongly preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing environments will be preferred.
- Graduate in Fashion, Apparel, Textile, Merchandising or a related field preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel is essential.

Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
