Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Production Manager to manage day-to-day production operations in a mineral processing/manufacturing plant. The candidate will be responsible for achieving production targets, improving productivity, controlling production costs, managing manpower, ensuring product quality, and maintaining safe and efficient plant operations.

Candidates with hands-on experience in mineral processing equipment such as Crusher, Impactor, Ball Mill, Pulverizer, Roller Mill, Classifier, Vibro Shifter, Bucket Elevator, Screw Conveyor, Blower and Bag Filter will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, organize and control daily production activities to achieve production targets as per customer requirements and production plans.
- Monitor and optimize the operation of Crusher, Impactor, Ball Mill, Roller Mill, Pulverizer, Classifier and associated material handling systems.
- Ensure effective utilization of manpower, machines, raw materials and other resources.
- Monitor production parameters and identify opportunities for productivity improvement and process optimization.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase and Dispatch departments for smooth plant operations.
- Ensure production is carried out as per approved SOPs, process parameters and quality standards.
- Monitor rejection, rework, process losses and material wastage and implement corrective actions.
- Control production costs, particularly power consumption, manpower cost, consumable usage and material losses.
- Monitor machine performance and coordinate with Maintenance for preventive maintenance and breakdown reduction.
- Improve machine utilization, production efficiency and overall plant productivity.




- Ensure proper operation and monitoring of sieving/classification systems to achieve required particle size and product specifications.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, 5S, safety practices and discipline across the production area.
- Prepare and monitor daily, weekly and monthly production plans and MIS reports.
- Analyze production data and implement CAPA, Kaizen & continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and develop production supervisors, operators and contract manpower.
- Conduct regular toolbox talks, operator training and process awareness programs.
- Ensure compliance with EHS, ISO procedures and company policies.
- Investigate production-related quality issues and customer complaints in coordination with the Quality team.
- Drive PQCDSM Production, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Morale improvements.
- Maintain proper production records, batch records, process checklists and other departmental documentation.
- Ensure smooth shift operations and effective communication between shifts.

Candidate Profile 5-7 years of relevant industrial experience, preferably in mineral processing or powder manufacturing.

- Should have strong hands-on experience in production operations and plant equipment.
- Experience in handling production teams and multiple shifts is preferred.
- Knowledge of Crusher and Ball Mill operations will be an added advantage.
- Candidates who have worked in micronized mineral/powder manufacturing plants will be highly preferred.
