Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Production Engineer with strong knowledge of Sheet Metal & Fabrication processes to manage day-to-day production activities, improve productivity, and ensure timely production as per quality and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, monitor, and control daily production activities.
- Ensure production targets are achieved as per the production plan.
- Handle Sheet Metal & Fabrication processes including laser cutting, CNC bending, welding, grinding, fitting, and assembly.
- Coordinate with PPC, Quality, Design, Purchase, Stores, and Maintenance teams for smooth production.
- Monitor manpower utilization and allocate workers/operators according to production requirements.
- Ensure production is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Identify and resolve production-related problems and process bottlenecks.
- Monitor rejection, rework, and material wastage and take corrective actions.
- Improve productivity through process improvement and effective resource utilization.
- Monitor machine utilization, downtime, and production efficiency.
- Ensure proper handling and availability of raw materials, tools, and consumables.
- Maintain production records, reports,



and other required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and work instructions on the shop floor.
- Guide and supervise production supervisors, operators, welders, fitters, and helpers.
- Support implementation of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement activities.
- Coordinate with the Quality team to resolve in-process and final inspection issues.

Required Skills & Knowledge
- Strong practical knowledge of Sheet Metal & Fabrication manufacturing.
- Knowledge of Laser Cutting, CNC Bending, Welding, Grinding, Fitting, and Assembly processes.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Good knowledge of production planning and shop-floor management.
- Good manpower handling and team management skills.
- Knowledge of rejection, rework, productivity, and production efficiency control.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement will be an advantage.

Education Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or relevant qualification.

Pay: ₹11,664.25 - ₹50,507.69 per month
