Role & responsibilities

- Plan and monitor daily production activities to achieve production targets.

- Ensure smooth and effective operation of the production line.

- Monitor production processes and identify bottlenecks, delays, and process issues.

- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase, and PPC teams for smooth production.

- Ensure production is carried out according to approved SOPs, work instructions, and quality standards.

- Monitor manpower utilization and allocate workers/operators as per production requirements.

- Track production output, rejection, downtime, and productivity.

- Analyze production problems and implement corrective and preventive actions.

- Reduce wastage, rejection, downtime, and production costs through continuous improvement.

- Maintain production records, reports, and documentation.

- Coordinate with the maintenance team to resolve machine breakdowns and minimize downtime.

- Ensure proper availability of raw materials,



components, tools, and consumables.

- Follow and enforce safety procedures and 5S practices on the shop floor.

- Conduct process improvement activities such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement.

- Monitor machine and process parameters to ensure consistent production quality.

- Train and guide operators on production processes, SOPs, safety, and quality requirements.

- Support new product/process trials and production setup activities.

- Prepare daily/weekly production reports and share performance updates with management.

- Ensure production schedules are completed within the required time, quality, and cost parameters.

Preferred candidate profile

- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical/Production, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
