Key Responsibilities
- Own the product roadmap for payment switching and Base24 EPS related enhancements.
- Translate business goals, customer needs, and scheme mandates into clear and actionable product requirements and user stories.
- Collaborate with development teams to design features across Base24 EPS modules, ATM/POS acquiring flows, and host interfaces.
- Define and maintain the Product Backlog, ensuring effective prioritization based on business value and dependencies.
- Work closely with engineering teams during sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups to ensure alignment.
- Drive end to end feature delivery, from requirement definition to deployment and post production validation.
- Collaborate with QA teams to support testing strategies, functional validation, and scheme certification scenarios.
- Analyze production issues and partner with support teams to determine product level impacts and future improvements.
- Ensure all releases comply with card scheme mandates (Visa, Client, Pulse) and regulatory guidelines.
- Present product updates, roadmap progress, and business impacts to senior stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed documentation of product features, flows, and release notes.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong experience in payment systems, especially card issuing/acquiring, ATM/POS flows, and transaction switching.
- Positive understanding of Base24 EPS, ISO 8583 message structures, and EMV transaction processing.
- Ability to interpret technical logs, transaction traces,
and high level system designs.
- Hands on experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing agile product artifacts.
- Experience collaborating with cross functional teams: engineering, QA, operations, and scheme compliance.
- Familiarity with Client NonStop (Tandem) environments and concepts used in payment switching.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and version-controlled documentation.
Desired Skills
- Experience working closely with developers in C/C++ and Linux-based payment applications.
- Exposure to tools such as SwitchTOOL, MOMI, or equivalent testing/debugging utilities in the payment switch ecosystem.
- Understanding of POS terminal ecosystems (Ingenico, Verifone, Android POS).
- Knowledge of digital payments, UPI, tokenization, or real time payments (nice to have).
- Experience with API-driven integrations or microservices in the payments space.
- Ability to drive workshops with banks, scheme partners, and cross-functional teams.
Certifications (Preferred)
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent
- ACI Base24 EPS Certification
- Product Management / Agile Delivery certifications
- EMV Certification
- ISO8583 Payment Protocol Certification
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- MBA is a plus (optional).
