We are looking for a Product Manager who can own and drive the complete product lifecycle from identifying consumer and market opportunities to developing, launching and continuously improving our products.

Role Overview The Product Manager will be responsible for product strategy, new product development, product improvement and commercialization across Compound's skincare portfolio.

The role will work closely with the founders, R&D;/formulation partners, packaging vendors, manufacturers, QA, supply chain, marketing teams to ensure every product is scientifically sound, commercially viable, operationally feasible and aligned with the brand.

Key Responsibilities

- Own Compound's product roadmap and pipeline, identifying recent product opportunities based on consumer needs, dermatological insights, market trends and competitive gaps.
- Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle from product brief and concept development through formulation, testing, packaging, commercialization and launch.
- Develop detailed product briefs covering target consumer, skin concern, product format, key ingredients/actives, desired efficacy, texture/sensory experience, claims, positioning and target price.
- Coordinate with R&D;, dermatologists, formulators and third-party manufacturers to develop, evaluate and refine product formulations and prototypes.
- Manage product trials, sampling, testing, stability, compatibility and quality evaluation in coordination with relevant technical and QA teams.
- Drive packaging development including component selection, functionality, compatibility, artwork, specifications and coordination with packaging suppliers.
- Own product costing and commercial viability, including COGS, packaging costs, target margins,



pricing and profitability in coordination with finance and supply chain.
- Manage product development timelines and milestones, ensuring projects progress from concept to commercial launch within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate cross-functional launch readiness across product, manufacturing, QA, regulatory, packaging, supply chain, marketing and e-commerce.
- Work with Marketing and Growth teams on product positioning, USPs, claims, product communication, launch strategy and consumer education.
- Monitor post-launch product performance through sales, reviews, customer feedback, returns, repeat purchases and other consumer insights, and identify opportunities for product improvement.
- Conduct ongoing market, competitor, ingredient and category research to identify emerging skincare trends, technologies, ingredients, formats and consumer opportunities.

Ideal Candidate

- 3–4 years of experience in product development, NPD, product management, skincare, cosmetics, beauty, personal care, FMCG or D2C consumer brands.
- Hands-on experience managing new product development from concept to launch.
- Good understanding of skincare products, cosmetic formulations, ingredients, textures, packaging and manufacturing processes.
- Commercial understanding of product costing, pricing, margins and profitability.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, founder-led D2C environment.
