About the role

As a Product Management Specialist Intern, you are passionate about creating new and improved products, plans and services that delivery exceptional customer experiences. You thrive being part of a high functioning and motivated product management team and working collaboratively with stakeholders to come up with creative products that raise the quality of the customers experience and build Telstra’s reputation as a globally innovative company.

Your mission will be to capture market value at scale by building products that offers our customers a great experience, is seamless to deliver, and are profitable to the core.

The Product Management Specialist Intern will work with the Product Owner and agile mission team to deliver the objectives of the product mission, whilst reporting to a Chapter Lead.

Key Responsibilities

As a Product Management Specialist Intern, you excel at designing, testing, and creating new products, plans and services to enhance Telstra’s product strategies and competitive advantage. You thrive on collaborating with stakeholders to bring current product portfolios to market that deliver exceptional customer experiences and build Telstra’s reputation as a globally innovative company.





You will also have an excellent understanding of all components of the product management lifecycle to deliver against the following responsibilities:

- Managed the product lifecycle of this portfolio and manage a product roadmap including a prioritised list of initiatives from ideation to exits
- Responsible for thought leadership to manage and develop product components and solutions
- Collaborate with stakeholders across other groups and functions to develop and own the product strategy and deliver capability and initiatives to drive growth for the
- Through an understanding of Market trends maximise the value the product delivers to customers and the business
- Balance customer needs with profitability and capability cost
- Leverage your deep commercial acumen to track the financial / sales performance and customer satisfaction for these products across all business units
- Assess customer experience gaps and apply your critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills to address these
- Provide guidance to the IT build teams as a subject matter expert to ensure optimal customer experience
- Actively participate and apply the Agile ways of working and mindsets when working within Telstra’s Agile operating model

About You As a Product Management Specialist Intern, you will play a key role in the development of end-to-end product capability within your mission.

You will work with delivery experts to seek feedback and create features that will improve our customers and our products’ profitability.

Mandatory

- Balance of strategic mindset and operational ability to develop and execute to a plan
- Ability to engage with and influence a range of stakeholders at all levels on technical and commercial matters
- Focused on continual learning and improvement for self, proven experience in analytical and product roles
- Ability to quickly analyse complex problems and work with leader to provide direction for implementation

Good to have

- Proven experience working in a Telco or IT industry for at least 3 years
