Reducing our Scope 3 emissions starts with high-quality supplier data and robust business cases for action. At Novonesis global procurement, we are looking for an analytically strong ‘Procurement Sustainability Analyst’ who will validate supplier carbon data, turn it into robust emission factors, and help build the initiatives that turn ambition into measurable impact.
The role owns the day-to-day execution of PCF collection and validation, supports category managers in building decarbonization business cases, and as part of the sustainability team support supplier cybersecurity and ESG risk assessments through questionnaires and follow-ups.
As part of the procurement sustainability team based out of Bengaluru, you will help drive Novonesis’ Scope 3 decarbonization and responsible procurement agenda across global procurement. pliers on decarbonization, and mitigating supplier ESG and cyber-security risks The team is responsible for measuring supply-chain emissions, engaging sup– to meet Novonesis’ sustainability commitments. Within the team, this role focuses on PCF validation and initiative case building, working in close cooperation with the Supplier Engagement Specialist, Sustainability Analytics team , and category managers.
As the role is placed in the procurement sustainability team, there will be opportunities to broaden into wider ESG and compliance topics like supplier assessments.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Collect, review, and validate supplier-provided PCF/LCA data for accuracy, completeness, and methodological alignment, according to guardrails aligned with Novonesis Global Sustainability
- Follow up with suppliers on PCF collection templates; clarify data gaps and support suppliers in improving data quality.
- Convert validated primary data into robust emission factors and support their handover into Scope 3 accounting.
- Provide clear communication to suppliers and internal stakeholders: purpose, expectations, timelines, follow-ups, and closure criteria.
- Act as super-user for Scope 3 / PCF-related digital procurement tools and interface with the Sustainability Analytics team.
- Scope 3 program support
- Support category managers and decarbonization leads in building business cases and CO₂ reduction scenarios for specific initiatives.

- Contribute to creation PCF methodology guidance, standard operating procedures, and training programs.
- Cyber security and ESG supplier assessment support (secondary focus)
- Support in the third-party risk management program in issuing, tracking and analysis of cybersecurity and ESG risk assessment questionnaires to suppliers
- Supplier data analysis and reporting

(internal and/or external) We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated team member to support our supplier data engagement efforts, one of the key pillar stones of Novonesis scope 3 decarbonization journey. You will work in close collaboration with the internal sustainability teams, procurement managers as well as suppliers, to drive supplier data collection and validation, to support decision making.
Experience & education
- Master’s (preferred) /Bachelor’s in Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Sustainability science, Environmental Science
Relevant skilled skills
- 2–4 yrs in sustainability, Scope 3 / carbon accounting,
LCA or supplier engagement
- Hands-on experience with GHG protocol, PCF/LCA data & emission factors
- Working knowledge of ISO 14067, RED, PACT / TfS PCF Guidelines, GLEC framework will be advantageous
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills. Add on: Power BI
- Nice to have - Experience with supplier ESG risk screening, questionnaires, and risk scoring
Years of relevant experience
- 2–4 years
Language requirements and proficiency level:
- Fluent in English, written and verbal
- Strong ability to translate complex problems into simple(r) concepts and communicate effectively
- Open to learning and developing
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work in a global team setup
- Interest in joining peer networks and best practice sharing to bring outside in knowledge
