Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure engineering plastics, commodity resins, masterbatches, colorants, additives, and other raw materials required for injection molding production.
- Identify and develop relationships with resin manufacturers, authorized distributors, suppliers, and alternative sources.
- Prepare and issue RFQs (Requests for Quotation) to suppliers and obtain competitive quotations.
- Compare supplier quotations based on:
- Price
- MOQ
- Lead time
- Price validity
- Material availability
- Payment terms
- Incoterms
- Freight costs
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best commercial terms and competitive pricing.
- Manage procurement of materials according to production schedules, customer demand, forecasts, and inventory requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding material availability, production schedules, dispatch dates, and delivery commitments.
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials to avoid production shortages and line stoppages.
- Procure and manage materials such as:
- Plastic resins
- Masterbatch and colorants
- Metal inserts
- Compression limiters
- Threaded inserts
- Packaging materials
- Other injection molding components
- Review and understand technical documents, including:
- TDS (Technical Data Sheet)
- SDS (Safety Data Sheet)
- COA (Certificate of Analysis)
- COC (Certificate of Conformance)
- MTC (Material Test Certificate)
- RoHS
- REACH
- IMDS, where applicable
- Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to identify approved materials and technically equivalent alternatives.
- Source alternative materials and suppliers to achieve cost reduction and supply-chain risk mitigation.
- Maintain communication with resin manufacturers and distributors regarding grade availability and authorized distribution channels.
- Monitor annual material usage (EAU) and forecast requirements for effective procurement planning.
- Manage purchase requisitions and create Purchase Orders (POs) in the company's ERP system.
- Ensure accuracy of:
- Part numbers
- Material grades
- Quantities
- Prices
- Delivery dates
- Supplier information
- Follow up on open POs and ensure suppliers meet committed ETD and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with Logistics and Freight Forwarders for:
- Air shipments
- Ocean shipments
- Land transportation
- Freight quotations
- Shipment pickups
- Evaluate shipment options based on cost, urgency, lead time, and production requirements.
- Work with suppliers to obtain packaging and shipment information, including:
- Number of boxes
- Number of pallets
- Net weight
- Gross weight
- Pallet dimensions
- Pickup address
- HS codes
- Support international procurement activities and manage Incoterms such as EXW, FOB, CIF, and DAP.
- Track supplier performance related to:
- Quality
- Delivery
- Pricing
- Responsiveness
- Lead time
- Participate in supplier evaluation, development, and supplier audits.
- Handle supplier escalations related to:
- Price increases
- Delayed deliveries
- Short shipments
- Quality issues
- Replacement materials
- Coordinate with Finance and Accounts teams regarding:
- Supplier payments
- Invoice discrepancies
- Zero-cost POs
- Replacement material POs
- Maintain procurement records, quotation comparisons, supplier databases, and SBS (Supplier Bid Summary) documentation.
- Prepare regular reports on:
- RFQ status
- Material shortages
- Open POs
- Supplier quotations
- Cost savings
- Delivery performance
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, and process improvement.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable quality standards.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
