Role & responsibilities

Procurement Strategy & Planning

- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Forecast purchasing requirements based on production, project, and operational needs.
- Establish procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives while maintaining quality and service standards.

Vendor Management

- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Conduct supplier performance reviews and audits.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and service agreements.

Purchasing Operations

- Oversee the complete purchase cycle from requisition to delivery.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with operations, production, and warehouse teams.
- Resolve supply disruptions and ensure continuity of operations.

Cost Control & Budget Management

- Prepare and manage procurement budgets.
- Analyze spending patterns and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply risks.
- Ensure optimal utilization of procurement resources.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

- Ensure adherence to company policies, legal regulations, and procurement standards.




- Maintain documentation and records for audits and compliance purposes.
- Work closely with quality teams to ensure purchased materials meet required specifications.

Team Leadership

- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team.
- Set departmental KPIs and monitor performance.
- Foster a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree (MBA/PGDM) preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CPSM, CIPS, or equivalent are an advantage.

Experience

- 1015+ years of procurement and supply chain experience.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role managing procurement functions.
- Experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
- Industry experience relevant to Sayatva's business domain is preferred.

Required Skills
