Role Overview

We're looking for a Procurement & Logistics Manager to own hardware procurement, logistics, base setup, and troubleshooting across our operations. This role is central to keeping bases equipped and running - from sourcing the right electronics/hardware components (including from China) to ensuring smooth logistics between BLR and base locations. You'll work very closely with the Data Upload Pod, since the Data Upload Center functions as the Base HQ.

Key Responsibilities

- Own end-to-end procurement of hardware/electronics components required for base setup and operations (cameras, SD cards, storage devices, networking equipment, etc.)
- Build and maintain a strong sourcing network in China/Other location for electronics procurement - identifying reliable suppliers/manufacturers, negotiating pricing, and managing vendor relationships
- Manage logistics and shipment coordination between BLR and base sites - ensuring hardware reaches bases on time, in good condition, and within budget
- Lead recent base setup from a hardware/logistics standpoint - procurement planning,



equipment installation coordination, and readiness checks
- Provide general troubleshooting support for hardware/logistics issues across bases (damaged equipment, shipment delays, stock shortages)
- Work closely with the Data Upload Pod to align hardware availability (SD cards, storage, upload equipment) with 24x7 upload operations and T+1 TAT requirements
- Maintain inventory tracking, reorder points, and vendor documentation (invoices,import/customs paperwork, warranties)
- Evaluate cost-saving opportunities in sourcing and logistics without compromising quality or timelines
- Coordinate customs/import processes for hardware sourced internationally

Requirements

- 3–6 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or logistics — ideally with hands-on electronics/hardware sourcing experience
- Strong existing network of suppliers/vendors in China for electronics procurement
- Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken/written) and comfort communicating via WeChat is a strong plus - this will directly help in vendor negotiation and relationship management
- Sharp negotiation skills - able to get competitive pricing and reliable terms from suppliers
- Strong problem-solving mindset - comfortable handling last-minute logistics issues, shipment delays, or on-ground troubleshooting
- Understanding of import/export processes, customs documentation, and cross-border shipping (China–India preferred)
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Ops and Data Upload teams, balancing speed with cost-efficiency
- Comfortable with occasional travel to base sites for setup/troubleshooting

Good to Have

- Prior experience procuring for AI/robotics/autonomous systems, IoT devices, or camera/sensor hardware
- Experience setting up new operational bases/hubs from a hardware and infrastructure standpoint
- Existing relationships with electronics manufacturers/trading companies in Shenzhen or other major China hubs
