Role: Process Engineer

Job Summary:

The Process Engineer will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and standardizing manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, efficiency, safety, and cost effectiveness. The role will work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, PPC, and NPD teams to resolve process-related issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

key Responsibilities:

1. Process Development & Optimization

- Develop and standardize manufacturing processes.
- Do Time Study of all the Zones and do line balancing.
- Optimize cycle time, manpower, and material usage
- Reduce rework and rejection through process control
- Improve line efficiency and productivity

2. Production Support

- Monitor daily production and resolve process-related issues
- Analyse breakdowns and quality problems on shop floor
- Provide immediate corrective actions

3. Quality Improvement

- Ensure process adherence to quality standards
- Implement poka-yoke and mistake-proofing techniques
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for defects
- Work on CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions)

Process Documentation

- Prepare and maintain - SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), Work Instructions, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams etc.
- Maintain records for audits

5. Continuous Improvement (Kaizen)

- Lead Kaizen and cost-saving projects
- Improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
- Reduce consumables (chemicals, PNG, paint, etc.)
- Implement Lean Manufacturing tools (5S, TPM, Six Sigma basics)

6. New Product Development (NPD)

- Support new product trials and process setup
- Define process parameters and cycle time
- Coordinate with design and production teams

7. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure safe working practices on shop floor
- Identify and eliminate process hazards

Qualification & Experience:

- Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience: 2–5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing/production setting.
- Experience in process improvement, production support, line balancing, and continuous improvement will be preferred.
