We are looking for a motivated chemist who has hands-on experience in designing synthetic routes by using the referencing tools, monitoring laboratory activities, structure-activity relationship study of the analogue compounds and also has experience in flow chemistry in providing services in the development of small molecule synthesis of NCEs.
Responsibilities
- Managing a team of 10-15 chemists focusing on both FTE and FFS projects and is accountable for the success of these projects.
- Guide the team in designing synthesis schemes (mg to kg scale) execution and troubleshooting.
- Design the number of steps, reactions, quality, quantity, timelines while maintaining desired manpower/FTE ratios, and achieve maximum productivity with minimum resources.
- Will be responsible for Quantity, Timelines and Profitability of each project.
- Hands on experience in preparation of Project Estimates for PO projects
- Responsible for optimal utilization of resources in the specific project team and improve productivity.
- Resolve synthetic challenges within the TAT.
- Manage customer relationships through weekly project updates and meetings.
- Excellent knowledge in characterization of compounds by different analytical techniques.
Skills
- PhD/master's with a specialization in Organic Chemistry/Medicinal Chemistry with 5-10 years of relevant industry experience from a Drug Discovery Organisation (CRO).
- Hands-on experience in Flow chemistry.
- Good knowledge of literature search and retrieving experimental details from journals and patents.
- Maintain all laboratory safety protocol and ensure that all project members are practicing lab safety.
- Candidate should have a clear knowledge of IP confidentiality and data integrity.
- Prior working experience in nucleotides, peptides, carbohydrates chemistry would be an added advantage.
- Must have valuable written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
