Role & responsibilities
Owns the technical direction, architecture, and evolution of a React-based common UI platform, enabling consistent, accessible, and scalable user experiences across products.
Acts as the technical anchor for UI platform engineering, driving reusable capability, standardisation, and adoption across teams to improve front-end delivery at scale.
Roles & Responsibilities
Platform Ownership
- Define and own the architecture, roadmap, and design system strategy for the common UI platform.
- Build and evolve reusable UI frameworks and component libraries for multi-product use.
- Establish standards, guardrails, and reference patterns for front-end engineering.
Adoption & Enablement
- Drive organisation-wide adoption through documentation, templates, and enablement.
- Provide reference implementations and paved paths for rapid team onboarding.
- Act as a trusted advisor on UI architecture, consistency, and reuse.
Cross-Team Leadership
- Align teams on UI standards, patterns, and practices.
- Resolve cross-team trade-offs with clear technical decision-making.
- Collaborate across Engineering, UX, Product, and Architecture.
Engineering Excellence
- Set and enforce the UI quality bar (accessibility, performance, maintainability).
- Lead design and code reviews aligned to platform principles.
- Improve reuse, consistency, and delivery efficiency across teams.
Mentoring & Capability Building
- Mentor engineers on contemporary front-end practices and component design.
- Build organisation-wide UI capability through standards and knowledge sharing.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify gaps and introduce platform capabilities to reduce duplication.
- Improve developer experience, tooling, and UI engineering lifecycle.

- 812+ years in front-end/UI engineering
- Proven experience building shared UI platforms or design systems
- Experience influencing multiple teams without direct authority
- Strong background in product/SaaS engineering environments
