Pre-Processing Operator – Oxy Fuel Cutting Operator

TREAT is looking for a skilled and motivated Pre-Processing Operator / Oxy Fuel Cutting Operator to join our manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for cutting and preparing raw materials and components for further production processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate Oxy Fuel Gas Cutting Machines safely and efficiently.
- Cut steel plates, materials and components according to drawings and required dimensions.
- Read and understand basic engineering drawings, cutting plans and measurements.
- Set up and operate oxy fuel cutting equipment as per job requirements.
- Adjust gas pressure, flame settings and cutting parameters for proper cutting quality.
- Prepare raw materials and components for further production processes.
- Measure and mark materials accurately before cutting.
- Operate grinding and other pre-processing equipment when required.
- Check cut materials for correct dimensions, defects and quality.
- Remove burrs, slag and sharp edges from cut components.
- Handle loading, unloading and movement of materials safely.
- Maintain proper identification and segregation of cut materials.
- Minimize material wastage and optimize material utilization.
- Monitor equipment and report any abnormalities or maintenance requirements.
- Maintain cutting equipment and work tools in proper working condition.
- Follow production instructions and quality standards.




- Follow all safety procedures related to oxy fuel cutting operations.
- Use mandatory PPE, including safety shoes, gloves, goggles, face shield and safety helmet.
- Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping in the work area.
- Assist other Production and Machine Shop departments whenever required.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Management.

Qualification & Requirements

- Qualification: ITI / Diploma / Relevant Technical Qualification preferred.
- Experience in Oxy Fuel Gas Cutting is preferred.
- Freshers with relevant technical knowledge can also apply.
- Basic knowledge of engineering drawings and measurements is preferred.
- Knowledge of gas cutting safety procedures and PPE is required.
- Ability to use measuring tools and perform accurate marking.
- Candidates should be physically fit and willing to work in a manufacturing environment.

Salary Freshers: Approximate take-home salary of ₹13,500 per month.

Experienced Candidates: Salary will be decided based on relevant experience, skills and performance.
